Blog reflection

What did I do today?

Today I started to design my final stencil for my t-shirt, on photoshop.
I chose an image off google of a cinema ticket because it would be too difficult to design one myself although I did make alot of changes to the ticket and made it my own.
I haven't finished it yet although I think it has gone well so far, because it's already quite basic.

If I had more time to design my stencil I proberly would have tried to do more my own thing rather than using google to help me, although i think my design will be just as good once i've finished.

Tomorrow I have to finish my design, print it the stencil and start to cut it out, and then start my t-shirt slideshow.

homework - campaigning.

1. Campaign idea's that would make your life better

My campaign idea that I think would make my life better is to push the minimum wage up to 10 pounds an hour for jobs.

2. Campaign idea's to improve the qaulity of life for someone else

My campaign idea that I think would improve the quality of life for someone else is to make university either free or alot cheaper than it is.

3. Campaign for something that would make someone smile

My campaign idea that I think would make someone smile is free cinema pass for a week.

- Why would it bring intrest to 16-19 year olds?

My first campaign would suit this age range because teenagers my age job hunt alot, and often find the places avaliable don't pay well enough, but I think £10 an hour could be too much, but I don't think places would have any difficulty hiring people as if the pay was good more people would apply for jobs, and want to work more hours.

My second campaign would suit this age range well also because alot of students want to go onto university after sixth form, but sometimes there parents can't afford it, where as if the accommodation and tuition were cheaper, it would be easier for parents to save up for it, because its so expensive at the moment, students are having to pay for bills and uttility needs themselves from loans, so they come out in debt, if it were cheaper it wouldn't take so long to pay back debts and compainies could lend out more knowing students will pay it back sooner, and parents could afford more for there children and help pay for essentials such as food that the students need and can't pay for by themselves with no jobs whilst at uni.

My third campaign is a free cinema pass for a week, I think this would be good for people aged 16 - 19 as most teenagers enjoy getting out at the weekend after a long week at school/college, and it would be a good chance to get out with friends and socialize, when new films come out they would be more popular because they would be free to go see, although this would mean the film companies and cinema loose a bit of money because they wouldn't be paying to see the film, although this pass would only be for a week, and not so often, could be like every 6 months.

Banksy is an anynomus graffeti artist from Bristol.
I chose this design because it is surreal.
I like how it is random and odd.
I like how Banksy has done the graffeti all black and white because Zebra's are black and white, I think its got humour as its not something you'd regualary come across.
I think the composition is intresting as its africa and thats normal to see that thre but here in England it is not normal at all to be hanging up your washing and having a zebra standing watching.

battlefront video report

I chose the video 'Random acts of kindness'

i like this video because it gets the message across without being boring.
it keeps your attention because it is humerous, the point of the video is, 'its hard to be mean and you should instead always be nice', the video plays on it humour in this video.
